Work Schedule: Openings are for 1st shift & 2nd shift.
  • 1st Shift: 6: 00 am - 4: 30 pm
  • 2nd Shift: 4: 30 pm - 3: 00 am (4x10s)
  • There is a $1.00/hour Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
Job Overview:

Our client has positions available in Jefferson City, MO. We are seeking skilled and dedicated Welding Cobots and Robots Technicians to join their team. As a Welding Cobots and Robots Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, programming, operation, and maintenance of welding collaborative robots (cobots) and industrial robots in our manufacturing facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of welding operations while maintaining a high level of quality and productivity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contributes to the advancement of our welding processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, set up, and program welding cobots and robots to perform a variety of welding operations, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to determine the welding requirements, including specifications, techniques, and parameters.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions with the welding cobots and robots.
  • Monitor and optimize welding parameters to ensure high-quality welds, inspecting finished welds for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair tasks on welding cobots and robots, including diagnosing and replacing faulty components.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize the operational lifespan of the welding automation equipment.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues affecting the performance of welding cobots and robots.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotic welding technology and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Train and support production operators in the safe and efficient operation of welding cobots and robots, ensuring proper handling and programming techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications performed on welding Cobots and robots.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent;additional technical certifications or vocational training in robotics, automation, or welding is preferred.
  • Proven experience in operating, programming, and maintaining welding cobots and industrial robots, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and parameters.
  • Experience in Fanuc robots/Cobot or similar.
  • Familiarity with different types of welding equipment and related peripherals, such as welding power sources, torches, wire feeders, and safety systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to welding cobots and robots.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in working with welding automation equipment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production requirements.
Key Items for Qualified Candidates:
  • Working Knowledge, Recent Related Experience with some or all Robotics, Weld Systems, Automation & Industrial Equipment.
  • Experience Programming, FANUC
  • Troubleshooting, Maintenance and Repair Experience
People:
  • Works with supervisor and leads operations of priorities and performance daily.
  • Maintains appropriate communication within area of responsibility.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and work well with other individuals within the company.
