Production Cell Lead

Job Description
All job duties and responsibilities of a Electro-Mechanical Assembler plus:
- Assign and designate tasks to Production Associates
- Exhibit consistent effective communication with Supervisor and appropriate departments (such as Quality, Warehouse & Shipping) in regards to the status of the assigned jobs under production due for shipment
- Demonstrate experience in leadership skills in a team environment
- Some understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Manage daily throughput / monitor cell productivity goals
- Monitor, maintain and report on yield data, man-hours, throughput, etc... As assigned
- Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift
- Ensure security of facilities during designated shift hours
- Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 6S protocol
- Assist in the training, coaching and motivating of employees
- Maintain and create Key Performance Indicators reports for the department as requested
- Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas / productivity improvements / practice Continuous Process Improvement.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience or training in a manufacturing environment
- Must have knowledge of PCB processing/technology and be able to read a schematic
- An IPC-J Std soldering certification is a plus / otherwise company will train
- Must have a good command of the English language, in written, verbal form along with comprehension
- Required to follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
- Computer experience in MS Office (including Word, Excel) and Visio a plus
- Must have completed training in proper lifting techniques
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to physically perform frequent lifting or moving of heavily weighted materials
- Must be able to perform frequent bending, standing, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers, climbing stairs and move about the facility
- Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
Work Environment:
- Work performed in a combination of warehouse, production shop and office environments
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oil
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
