Job Description
As a Visual Inspection/Touch-up Operator, you will be responsible for conducting hand soldering and touch-up tasks for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Pin-Through-Hole components. This role requires utilizing a microscope for inspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Qualifications: Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
Language:
- Proficiency in English is required.
Skills:
- Proficient in removing parts from PCBA and soldering equipment.
- Skilled in hand soldering, including jumper wires.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand work orders and manufacturing instructions.
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from managers and colleagues.
- Demonstrates common sense in solving practical problems.
Responsibilities:
- Review daily touch-up schedule with the manufacturing supervisor.
- Perform PCB repair based on the daily schedule.
- Conduct hand-soldering under a microscope and perform inspections.
- Validate materials and required documentation for work orders.
- Train new hires on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as needed.
- Understand and adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices, board handling procedures, and safety protocols.
- Perform any other assigned or necessary duties.
